MSC Cruises has announced changes to the cancellation fee policy for select sailings of the 2027 MSC Bellissima Busan Winter Season. If you are planning to book, please make sure to review the details below.
📌 Background
This update is a response to issues that arose during the 2026 Busan Summer Season. At that time, a number of travel agencies made bulk reservations to secure cabin availability, only to cancel en masse just before cancellation penalties took effect. As a result, genuine travelers were unable to book their desired sailing dates. To prevent a recurrence and ensure a fairer booking environment for real customers, MSC Cruises has made this difficult but necessary decision.
📌 Summary of Changes
Effective Date: Applies to new bookings made on or after 00:01 (KST), Monday, June 15, 2026
Key Change: Even if you cancel more than 75 days before departure, 5% of the total booking amount is non-refundable
Previously, cancellations made more than 75 days before departure were fully refundable. Under the new policy, 5% of the booking amount will be retained regardless of when the cancellation is made.
Cancellation fees for cancellations within 75 days of departure remain unchanged from the existing policy.
Yacht Club cabin bookings are subject to the existing Yacht Club cancellation policy.
